Introduction

We care about your privacy and want you to feel confident about how we handle your personal information. This privacy policy (the ‘Policy’) describes how Accord collects, uses, protects and shares your information when you use our service (the ‘Service’).

Collection of Information

We collect different types of information when you use the Service, including:

  • Personal information: For example, your name, email address, and other information you provide when you create an account.
  • User Data: Information about how you use the Service, such as activity logs, interactions with other users, and which features you use most.
  • Analytics and session recordings: We record the screens you visit and certain actions you take in the app, and may record app sessions, including what is shown on screen and entered in the app, to understand how the app is used and find usability problems. This information is linked to your account and profile details, such as your email address and phone number.
  • Device information: Data about the device you are using, such as IP address, operating system, and language preferences.
  • Diagnostic information: When the app crashes or something goes wrong, we collect error reports and performance data, such as the error, the screens and actions leading up to it, and your device and app version. Reports from our servers may include your user ID and phone number so that we can investigate problems affecting your account.
  • Purchase information: If you subscribe to Accord Premium, we receive information about your subscription, such as the product purchased, transaction identifiers, subscription status and expiry date. Payments are processed by Apple or Google, and we never receive your card or other payment details.

Use of Information

The information we collect is used to:

  • Provide and improve the Service.
  • Customize the user experience and develop new features.
  • Analyse user trends and interactions to optimize the functionality of the Service.
  • Roll out new features gradually and test changes to the Service.
  • Detect, investigate and fix errors, crashes and performance problems.
  • Manage your subscription and give you and the members of your groups access to Premium features.

Sharing of Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. However, we may share anonymized and aggregated data with our business partners to help us understand user patterns and improve the Service.

We use PostHog for product analytics, session recordings and feature flags. PostHog receives the analytics and session recordings described above, together with your account and profile details, and stores them in the European Union.

We use trusted service providers that process data on our behalf to run the Service. Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, which receives your purchase information and an anonymous user identifier so that we can verify your subscription. Your use of the App Store or Google Play is also covered by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.

We use Sentry to monitor errors and performance. Sentry receives the diagnostic information described above and stores it in the United States. Transfers outside the EU/EEA are covered by Sentry's data processing agreement, which includes the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Protection of Your Information

We use a number of security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or modification. These include data encryption, backups, and regular security audits.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the information we hold about you, correct any inaccuracies, and request that we delete your personal information in accordance with applicable law.

Changes to the Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the Service, and we encourage you to periodically review the Policy to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
